About Us
How did we get started?
My children came home from college and told me to go fly a kite
as they handed me my first set of stunt kites. Being an orphan,
I had never had a kite. But being a grown-up and receiving a kite
was in itself a magical great adventure.
From there we (our crew) started with a love of kites. It gave
us a feeling of tranquility and inner peace.
Then we adopted anything associated with the wind. As our spirits and
souls developed, we saw a need to nurture the mind as well. We added
complex award winning brain games.
Next we saw a need to beautify our surroundings. We added flags,
wind banners, wind mobiles, spinners, spirals, twisters, wind chimes,
and windsocks. We continue to grow and change in our store as in life.

May Day 2010 Update
Twenty years ago a ‘Good-Ole-Boy’ banker in our redneck town told me, “There is no way I am letting you (implying a girl) ever start a kite store in MY town!” I stood up, leaned over the table and said, “You just stand back and watch…Bubba!” Twenty years later... I am still here, he is not!
This is our nineteenth year in our shop and still loving every moment. We have discovered there are no special kites for kids, teens or mom and dads. Kites are not prejudiced, yet.
There are just different kites which produce different effects and qualities in different winds each season of the year.
We have found each and every shape a fascinating discovery. So try more than just diamond kites, deltas or box kites.
The youngest child we have had fly a kite was 18 months and he loved it. So age also is no longer a factor. Only if we listen to others who say we can't. Personally I have always said "Yes, I can!"
